I love all things books. I spent three years studying books of all kinds during my undergraduate degree in English literature, before deciding that the written word wasn’t quite enough for me. I wanted to make books with both words and pictures.
After searching for a way to bring together my passion for words and my love of making images, I ended up at Cambridge School of Art learning how to make picture books. This turned out to be a wildly challenging, hugely rewarding, and sometimes chaotic adventure in creativity.
My work takes inspiration from the little things that often go unnoticed in everyday life – small gestures of kindness, fleeting expressions and snippets of conversation. I enjoy creating illustrations for both longer narratives and poetry and particularly enjoy creating stories that are gentle and driven by emotion.
