I am a Japanese illustrator who loves little notice and happiness in daily life. After I finished my first master degree in visual design in Japan, I started to work as an illustrator alongside working in the art college.
I decided to study in this MA to find and develop my new possibilities of creativity. Currently, I am interested in shapes and textures by using paper stencil mono-print. During playing around with printmaking, I often faced unexpected matters on my results. This process brought me a new viewpoint of making the image. I really enjoyed this moment and I think it affected my thought and approach for illustrations and picturebook making a lot. Sometimes normal things in our life turned out to be something special and fun when we change the viewpoint. I would like to share this delight with child readers through my works.
