I graduated in Fine Art from Byam Shaw School of Art (Central Saint Martins) in 2011. While studying there I worked at the Bookartbookshop in East London, writing about artist’s books. Since then I have worked as a professional illustrator, with my most significant commission to date being Yoga for Travellers published by Pinter & Martin, which contained over 120 illustrations. Alongside this, I have worked in schools across the country, both as a teaching assistant and running comics workshops. Enrolling on the Children’s Book Illustration MA felt like a perfectly natural culmination of the various sides of my working life. I am obsessed with illustration, books and nurturing children’s imaginations. The illustrations you see on this website are from my two final projects – the picture book Lucy’s Rainy Day, about a girl and her family who escape town to go for a rainy walk in the countryside, and Skellig, a children’s novel by David Almond about a fallen angel, that I have illustrated in black and white. Now I have finished the MA I feel like a new person, ready to embrace whatever challenges this exciting career entails: please do get in touch!
