I was born in Gunma prefecture, Japan and graduated from the Japanese Style Painting (Nihonga) programme in Tohoku Univesity of Art and Design. After graduating, I worked in a film company as a computer graphic designer where I developed professional design skills and the chance to work on sequential images. I use a wide range of materials and techniques for creating illustrations such as painting with acrylic or gouache, collage and digital. My other interests include illustrating surrealistic situations and stories, but recently I have been working on a non-fiction book, the mood of which is both playful and educational. Last summer, I had an exhibition in Ginza, Tokyo with friends from the same university.
