Since young drawing has been an important way of communication, as with many children it was to escape into a fantasy world; as an adult it was not to escape everyday life but to see the humour in it.
After my BA in Graphic Design at Camberwell School of Art from portraying movement through paper sculpture/engineering, I went on to illustrate and design pop-up books. When I had the opportunity, I returned to study on the MA at Cambridge. With this total focus on children’s books it has been an enriching experience which I am still absorbing and developing. Really excited to see where my illustration leads I am open to working in all genres of children’s books.
