During the years when I studied Early Childhood Education for an undergraduate degree, I sometimes felt that lots of issues that exist in society are difficult to explain to children. Among the few times I took part in teaching experience, I noticed that children have a really good sense of observation towards images, even if they are without words. I gradually realised that the visual language influences children profoundly. Then the idea of making picture books came to my mind, since drawing is the thing I like to do all of the time. I feel grateful that I can combine what I have learned from education and explore more possibilities as to how images convey messages to children.
